Stagework is a rich resource for teachers and learners at all levels. There are Lessons Plans in Citizenship, and English and Drama, at Key Stage 3 and 4, based upon the featured productions at the National Theatre the Bristol Old Vic and Birmingham Repertory Theatre and mapped to the National Curriculum Schemes of Work by unit and section. Each lesson plan will provide the basis for two or more lessons. A lesson plan comprises comprehensive teachers notes and activities using resources drawn from the productions, including video of rehearsal, performance and interviews with cast and backstage teams; plot synopses, worksheets, and excerpts from the play script. The Guidance Notes for each production suggest on how best to use Stagework for a number of other subjects including Performing Arts, Design, History and ICT. You will also find relevant materials in other sections: Productions has a wealth of behind the scenes information about each production as it progresses including interviews with the cast and creative team, production diaries, and video of rehearsal and performance. Events & Workshops offers suggested workshop activities for schools and video examples of workshop practice.
